As we entered 2020, we expected to see higher levels of activity in the property market. A few months in, we thought now would be a good time to report on what we have seen so far.
Frankly, the results have been extraordinary, exceeding what we were expecting. Buyer activity in Oxfordshire has surged to record levels as confidence in the market has returned and people are making larger life decisions again.
As you can see from the above graph our offices registered more qualified buyers in January 2020 than any month in 2019 by a comfortable margin and saw a 97% increase in buyer registrations in January 2020 compared to January 2019.
This was repeated again in February, with a 155% increase year on year, and even a 5% increase when compared to the already astonishing January result.
While we predict this initial surge will subside, we still expect to see increased activity levels in the market through the rest of 2020.
