New Build properties have many attractions for the investor; they come with warranties and guarantees and are built to the latest building standards and tend to be better equipped in terms of kitchens and bathrooms than older properties.

This means lower maintenance. Tenants also are attracted to new properties and tend to pay a premium rent for the benefit of this newness.

Our developer clients build on average 15-20 units per year and these are offered initially to our investor clients before being aired on the open market. Buying 'off-plan' has its advantages - prices can be fixed as much as 9 months ahead of completion and this means that as the market rises the purchaser can enjoy the capital uplift which over the past 12-18 months has been at least 15%.
