FURNITURE restorer Sharon Simmonds has built up a thriving business from her home in Wootton, near Woodstock, but it has become so successful she needs to move to a bigger house.

Mrs Simmonds has lived at 67 Castle Road for 13 years with husband Richard who works in broadcasting. She restores period furniture and objets d’art then sells them through outlets such as The Old Pill Factory in Witney.

Sister Frances Dominica, the Founder and Trustee of Helen & Douglas House children’s and young adults’ hospice, launched the charity’s Lottery Summer Superdraw, at the Helen & Douglas House shop in Summertown, on Tuesday, 7 June.

Lottery players have the chance to win a number of luxurious prizes, as well as the usual weekly prizes of £100, £1000, and up to £10,000 rollover, in the Superdraw, which will take place on 30 September, 2011.
